Abstract
Magnesium hydroxide particles with a purity of 98 mass % or more, the particles are hexagonal prism shaped particles having: a crystalline outer shape consisting of two hexagonal basal planes, upper and lower in parallel to each other, and six peripheral prismatic planes formed between these basal planes; a size in the direction of C-axis of 0.5-1.5 ? ?m, wherein the size in the direction of C-axis is 60% or more of a median particle size of the hexagonal prism-shaped particles, an inflection point diameter of 0.1-0.4 ?m, and an inter-particle void of 0.6x10-3-1.0x10-3m3.kg-1 and a resin containing the particles. (Fig. 1)
