Abstract

The present invention relates generally to an emergency exit lockset comprises of at least one lockset housing (1) being mounted onto grille structure and the like, at least one detachable locking bracket (4) being secured to said lockset housing (1) through latching assembly (7). Said latching assembly is connected to at least one actuating means (17) by using at least one cable (8) to trigger disengagement of said detachable locking bracket (4) when said actuating means (17) is activated from the inside of premises for emergency escape. (The most illustrative figure is FIG. 4)
