Abstract

The present invention relates to a rehabilitation robotic system (1000) for treating an impaired lower or upper limb of a stroke patient. The rehabilitation robotic system (1000) operates in three training modes which include a passive mode, an assistive mode and an active mode. The rehabilitation robotic system (100) comprises of a base (100), a platform (200), a robotic device (300), a computing device (400) and a monitoring device (500). The assembly of the base (100), the platform (200) and the robotic device (300) is modular so as to allow different set-ups of the rehabilitation robotic system (100) for different training movements.
