Abstract

The system (100) and method thereof for scrubbing and classification of coarse and fines materials is disclosed. The system (100) integrates the facility of scrubbing, hydro-cycloning, rinsing, sizing, dewatering and conveying to classify material in up to five sizes. The system (100) allows extraction of graded washed products from different raw materials with substantially reduced surface contaminants such as silica, clay and alumina content for use by various industries. This proposed system and method considerably improves the cost, productivity and efficiency of steel making. Another example is adding value and enhancing the productivity of industries such as construction where efficient removal of clay and ultra-fines present in the material as the deleterious material can result into lowering of usage of cement significantly and improve overall strength of the concrete.
