Abstract
CHEMICAL REACTION APPARATUS AND CHEMICAL REACTION METHOD The present invention provides a chemical reaction apparatus that can efficiently irradiate a content with microwaves. The chemical reaction apparatus includes: a horizontal flow-type reactor (13) in which a content horizontally flows with an unfilled space being provided thereabove; a microwave generator (14) that generates microwaves; and at least one waveguide (15) that transmits the microwaves generated by the microwave generator (14) to the unfilled space in the reactor (13). In this manner, microwaves can be irradiated over a larger surface area, and the microwave irradiation efficiency increases.
