A shunt tube assembly (200) comprises a shunt tube (132, 206, 302, 506, 706, 906, 1010, 1112, 1302) and a jumper tube (501, 601. 701, 901, 1001, 1110, 1301) comprising a first end. The shunt tube (132, 206, 302, 506, 706, 906, 1010, 1112, 1302) comprises a non-round cross section, and the first end (612) of the jumper tube (501, 601, 701, 901, 1001, 1110, 1301) is coupled to the shunt tube (132, 206, 302, 506, 706, 906, 1010, 1112, 1302) at a coupling. The first end (612) of the jumper tube (501, 601, 701, 901, 1001, 1110, 1301) comprises a substantially round cross section at the coupling.
