The present invention relates to a formwork system (100) for use in casting concrete for a structural member, of which the formwork is an integral part, comprising a set of elongated woodwool panels (102) joined together at their longitudinal edges to form a rectangular column; a cement mortar (101) adhering adjacent panels (102) in the rectangular column along their longitudinal edges; and a removable clamp externally mounted around the rectangular column.
