Abstract

A ventilation apparatus (50) includes a cylindrical frame (9) provided with a fan (3) and a motor (4) therein, and a flange portion (6) extending substantially rectangularly in a radial direction from an outer periphery of an intake-side opening of the frame (9), wherein the motor (4) has a cylindrical heat dissipating plate (12) covering a periphery of an axial direction of a housing (4a) of the motor (4), the heat dissipating plate (12) is fixed to the frame (9) via fixing legs (14) extending radially in radial directions, the fixing legs (14) are provided at substantially equal intervals to extend radially from the heat dissipating plate (12) and fixed at front ends thereof to the frame (9), and at least one of the fixing legs (14) has parts parallel to a rotating shaft of the motor (4) at two places and is bent into a U-shape.
