Abstract

A seawater desulfurization air diffuser (30): includes air diffuser pipes (34), which are arranged in the oxidation basin (13) for seawater desulfurization and supply air to acidic mixed seawater (24) including seawater (23) that has absorbed a sulfur-containing component which resulted from seawater desulfurization by bringing the sulfur-containing component in a flue gas (22) into contact with seawater; and an air supply pipe (33), which feeds the air through an air introducing means from outside to the air diffuser pipes (34); a hole diameter (d) of holes (35) of the air diffuser pipes (34) is equal to or greater than 5 mm; a pitch (P1) between the holes (35) and of the air diffuser pipes (34) is equal to or greater than 40 mm; and a pitch (P2) between the air diffuser pipes (34) and arranged in the air supply pipe (33) is equal to or greater than 500 mm.
