Abstract
It is provided that a polyester film which is industrially practicable and excellent in a balance between mechanical characteristics in the MD and in the TD, impact resistance, and so on. The present invention is a polyester film which is formed of a polyester resin containing 60% by mass or more of polyethylene terephthalate and which has a rupture elongation of 80% or more in the MD, a rupture elongation of 80% or more in the TD, a plane orientation of 0.12 to 0.14, an impact strength of 0.05 J/?m or more, and a puncture strength of 0.5 N/?m or more.
