Abstract
A thermoplastic dipping former manufacturing method using an injection moulding process utilizing a collapsible core is disclosed. The method mainly comprises the steps of providing an injection mould consisting of several parts joined together to define a mould cavity corresponding to the shape and configuration of a desired dipping former; providing the core in a non-collapsed position and inserting the core into the mould cavity; injecting a thermoplastic material into the mould cavity; setting the core in a collapsed position and withdrawing the same from the mould cavity after the thermoplastic material solidifies to form a moulded article; and removing the mould from the moulded article to reveal a dipping former in a single unit.
