Abstract

The present invention relates to a robust, practical dissolved ammonia electrode which is deployed on-field. The present invention is characterized by a tungsten microelectrode (600) with an electrochemical transducer (700) located within the ammonia sensing membrane (300) to convert chemical activity in the ammonia sensing membrane (300) to voltage signal. As the present invention provides reagent-free sensing set-up, it facilitates automation in field deployment applications.
