Abstract

A double stator electricity generating apparatus (100) is provided to convert mechanical energy to electrical energy, characterized in that the double stator electricity generating apparatus includes an outer annular stator (101) with a radius of a predetermined length, an annularly shaped rotor (102) with a radius of a predetermined length, wherein the radius of the rotor (102) is smaller than the radius of the outer annular stator (101), an inner annular stator (103) with a radius of a predetermined length, wherein the radius of the inner annular stator (103) is smaller than the radius of the rotor (102); wherein the rotor (102) is positioned to be layered between the outer annular stator (101) and the inner annular stator (103), a plurality of magnets (104) which are embedded in the rotor (102), a plurality of slots (105) spaced circumferentially within the outer annular stator (101) and the inner annular stator (103), wherein coil windings (106, 107) are windable around the slots (103), wherein the outer annular stator (101) is radially further from a central point of the apparatus (100), such that a ratio of radius of outer annular stator (101) to the radius of inner annular stator (103) is of a predetermined value that results in optimum power.
