Abstract
The present invention relates to a rack rear wall 1 for a modular rack system, which suppresses a deflection of the rack rear wall in a mounted condition and seals a transition of two rack rear walls 1 which are disposed one above another in a lightproof manner. This is achieved by the rack wall 1 comprising an element 3 extending from one of the two longitudinal edges of the rack rear wall in depth direction, the element 3 comprising a recess 4 or a convexity 5 in width direction. In a preferred embodiment the rack rear wall 1 comprises such an element 3 on both longitudinal edges and thereby obtains an increase in flexibility since identical rack rear walls 1 may be disposed below or above the inventive rear wall 1 and the above-mentioned advantages can be obtained. In a further preferred embodiment the convexity 5 acts with the recess 4 at the lower and the upper side of a respective rack wall as tongue and groove.
