Abstract

A valve system (100) for controlling pressure and flow rate of a fluid comprising a choke valve (101) defined by a body having a fluid passageway, an inlet (101b) and an outlet (101a) and configured to allow the fluid to flow into the passageway through the inlet (101b) and out of the body via the outlet (101a); a valve trim (102) mounted on a seat (103) positioned within the passageway; a valve sleeve (104) disposed coaxially surrounding the trim (102) and movable in a vertical axis along the valve trim (102) for controlling amount of the fluid flowing out through the outlet (101a); a valve stem (105) fixed on the trim (102) within the passageway; and an actuator stem (106) having one end operatively connected to the valve stem (105) through a rocker arm (107) connection and the other end being disposed within an actuator (108) arranged laterally beside the choke valve (101); characterized in that the actuator (108) is configured to lift or lower the actuator stem (106), causing the valve sleeve (104) to close the valve (101) when lifting the actuator stem (106), or to open the valve (101) when lowering the actuator stem (106), which allows the fluid to flow out through the outlet (101a) of the valve (101).
