Abstract

The present invention provides a high performance cement-free brick from agro-industrial waste. Accordingly, the cement-free brick includes: a) pulverized fuel ash (PFA) and palm oil fuel ash (POFA) being as binder for cement replacement; b) bottom ash being as fine aggregate for sand replacement; c) hydrated lime and gypsum being as additives for increasing strength of the brick; d) super-plasticizers being as additional additive for increasing workability of fresh mortar; wherein binder to aggregate to be used is at ratio of 3:2; wherein mix proportion of pulverized fuel ash (PFA) to palm oil fuel ash (POFA) is at ratio of 50:50; 100% bottom ash as sand replacement; and the mix proportion of hydrated lime to gypsum is at ratio of 60:40; and wherein proportion of super-plasticizer is 2% of the binder.
