Abstract
The present invention relates to super hard palm based fraction. More particularly, the present invention relates to a super hard palm based fraction from palm based oil containing high concentration of long chain saturated fatty acid (SAFA) particularly palmitic acid (P, C16:0) and unsaturated fatty acid particularly monounsaturated fatty acid (MUFA) namely oleic acid (O, C18:1) produced from two processes. Also disclosed is interesterified palm based oil which is high in trisaturated fatty acids and triunsaturated fatty acids from a palm based oil which is high in long chain SAFA particularly palmitic acid (P, C16:0) and MUFA namely oleic acid (O, C18:1) produced from two processes.
