Abstract

Provided are a Bacillus subtilis strain having the ability to produce mannanase and the ability to ferment Arecaceae kernel cake and a solid-phase fermentation method of Arecaceae kemel cake using the same. The Bacillus subtilis strain can produce various enzymes useful for facilitating the digestion and absorption of animal feed. Fermented Arecaceae kernel cake obtained by the solid-phase fermentation method exhibits improved digestibility and contains increased amounts of nutrients (e.g., proteins), and large amounts of microorganisms and enzymes beneficial for animals, and thus, is useful for animal feed or its additive.
