Abstract
An apparatus for placing gloves on the conveyor (300) of a glove packaging machine, comprising: a glove loading station (100) at which gloves are loaded onto one or more vertically oriented generally ?U-shaped? glove holders (103); and a glove transferring device for moving the gloves from the glove holders (103) to the conveyor (300); wherein the glove holders (103) are mounted around the edge of an indexing table (101) which intermittently rotates the glove holder (103) from a loading point to a lifting point; and wherein the glove transferring device comprises a mechanical arm (200) carrying a gripper (203) and configured to oscillate in an arc between the lifting point and a depositing point such that when a loaded glove holder (103) reaches the lifting point, the gripper (203) is in position to grab a cuffed section of the glove and transfer it to the depositing point on the conveyor (300).
