Abstract
A remotely controllable pipeline monitoring device (10) is disclosed. The monitoring device (10) has two concave portions (12, 14) which are hinged together, and are able to clamp about a portion of a pipe (20). When clamped about the pipe, the device is able to rotate about the pipe through at least 360? . This allows measuring tools to be employed at specific locations about the pipe (20).
