Abstract

The present invention discloses a parking payment method comprising providing a mobile application whereby allows a user to generate a request message containing vehicle identification details; sending said mobile written message to a service provider associated with a dedicated unified number via a mobile operator; the service provider, thereby, deducting the appropriate amount of parking fee from the monetary account of the user, based on the telephone number of which the request message is originated, wherein said monetary account can be either a prepaid airtime account or a postpaid airtime account; and transmitting a confirmation message from the service provider to the mobile application via the mobile operator, informing the user that his/her request has been approved upon receipt of the appropriate amount of parking fee.
