Abstract

A low tar menthol cigarette which comprises a tobacco rod and a filter wrapped in tipping paper and has a tar content of 5 mg or less. The filter includes a single segment constituted by cellulose acetate tow. The draw resistance of the filter is 25 to 80 mmH20/27 mm, while the ventilation ratio of air flowing in from ventilation holes formed in the tipping paper is 55% or greater. Menthol is added to the filter. Figure 1
