Abstract

[Object] To provide a seedling transplanter which is capable of planting seedlings into a fixed position with simple procedures, and allows for improved flexibility in disposing of components of the steering unit. [Solution] Disclosed is a seedling transplanter comprising: a vehicle body (2) including a travel unit; a seedling planting device (4) provided at the rear of the vehicle body (2); a transmission (23) for transmitting power to the travel unit and the seedling planting device (4); planting clutch mechanisms (112, 115) for switching on/off the drive of the seedling planting device (4); a switch member (16) for switching on/off the transmission to the travel unit; and a fixed-position planting detection member (101) for detecting the operation of the switch member (16) to a fixed position; wherein when the fixed-position planting detection member (101) detects the operation of the switch member (16) to the fixed position, the planting clutch mechanisms (112, 115) are engaged, and the seedling planting device (4) is activated by the power transmission from the transmission (23), while staying in the travel-halting state in response to the operation of the switch member (16).
