Abstract

An absorbent article (1) includes an absorbent core (41). The absorbent core (41) includes a raised portion (42) in an excretion-section opposing zone (B). The raised portion (42) has a greater thickness than the thickness of a first region (41F) and that of a second region (41R) of the absorbent core (41). In a planar view, the raised portion (42) has a maximum width portion at which the length in the lateral direction (Y), which is orthogonal to the longitudinal direction (X) of the absorbent core (41), becomes the greatest. The length, in the lateral direction (Y), of the maximum width portion is the same as the maximum length, in the lateral direction (Y), in a middle region (41M) of the absorbent core (41).
