Abstract
The present invention provides a high performance concrete with significantly reduced cement and sand for environmental friendly construction. Accordingly, the high performance concrete includes: a) spent garnet being as fine aggregate for sand replacement; b) fly ash being as binder for cement replacement; c) slag being as binder which is prepared with ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) -based; wherein the concrete mixtures includes 25% spent garnet, 70% slag, and 30% fly ash, and the mixtures are prepared with a constant Liquid / Binder (L/B) mass ratio of 0.4.
