Abstract
The present invention pertains to a method for producing micro- to nanowires on a solid support material. The method includes the step of providing the solid support material. The method the includes the step of applying a liquid composition that includes nucleic acids and metal nanoparticles to the surface of the solid support material and thereafter cut the liquid composition by removing the liquid composition from a part of the surface of the solid support material, thereby producing, at the edges formed by the cutting of the liquid composition, micro- to nanowires made of complexes of the metal nanoparticles and the nucleic acids. The method includes the step of removing the nucleic acid to produce micro- to nanowires that are made of the metal nanoparticles.
