Abstract

Provided is a non-woven fabric that has favorable workability, superior flexibility and high width dimensional stability, and that is suitable as a top sheet, back sheet, side gathering section, or the like of an absorbent article used in a sanitary item. The non-woven fabric comprises a thermoplastic fiber and is characterized by the fiber orientation in the non-woven fabric being 1.05-2.0 inclusive by the MOR value of the degree of molecular orientation, and the stress when extended 3% of the non-woven fabric being 2-10 N/5 cm inclusive.
