Abstract
The present invention relates to a tensile test device (100). The tensile test device (100) is able to perform tensile testing on specimens (10) having unsymmetrical cross section and varyingly material gradation. This is done by applying a pure tensile load on the ends of the specimen (10), for any amount of rotation of the ends of the specimen (10). The tensile test device (100) comprises of a top housing (110), a top connecting rod (120), a pair of top plates (130), at least two rigid cylinders (140), at least six roller bearings (150), at least three springs or elastic means (160), a main body (170), a pair of bottom plates (180), a bottom connecting rod (190) and a fastener (200).
