Abstract
A perforated plate is provided above packing, and liquid is supplied onto the packing through holes of the perforated plate, so that the distribution property of the liquid for the packing is enhanced, and the treatment efficiency of a gas to be treated is improved. Further, the decrease in the contact efficiency caused by aquatic organisms entering into the apparatus is prevented. Structured packing 20, which is provided with a communication path substantially uniform in a cross section, and from a site below which, a gas to be treated is blown into the tower, the structured packing is installed below a perforated plate 5, which is provided with holes disposed in a substantially uniform manner, and seawater distribution-supplying units 3, 4 are furnished above the perforated plate 5 for distribution-supplying of the seawater onto an upper surface of the perforated plate so that contact is performed between the gas, which blows upward in the tower, and the liquid, which flows downward for a treatment of the gas to be treated.
