Abstract

A vehicle body rear portion reinforcement structure for reinforcing a vehicle body rear portion includes a pillar which includes a pillar outer (10a) and a pillar inner (10b) joined together and on which a shoulder belt anchor is disposed. The pillar is joined to an opening edge forming a door opening (2y) and to a roof side rail (30) of a vehicle body (1). The vehicle body rear portion reinforcement structure includes a reinforce covering at least a joint part of the pillar and the opening edge and lying along an extending direction of the pillar. The reinforce is joined to the pillar by a pair of flanges (10E1, 60E1, 101E1; 10E2, 60E2, 101E2) sandwiched between the pillar outer and the pillar inner, and includes a wall surface which is formed between the pair of flanges and which is parallel with or has a receding angle with respect to a vehicle width direction in a vehicle height direction view.
