Abstract

Provided is an intake manifold with a surge tank (7), including: the surge tank having an intake air introducing opening (12); and a plurality of intake branch paths each having a tip end being opening inside the surge tank, the plurality of intake branch paths being arranged in parallel. At least the tip end of each of the plurality of intake branch paths extends in a circumferential direction of the surge tank. A part of an inner surface of the surge tank is configured as an inner step portion (14) located closer to an axis center of the surge tank, the part being inside the tip end of each intake branch path (8). The inner step portion of the surge tank includes a plurality of intake recirculation gas exhaust ports corresponding to the respective intake branch paths, the plurality of intake recirculation gas exhaust ports facing toward inlets of the respective intake branch paths. A part of the inner step portion is formed as an arcuate guide surface (14a) for guiding intake recirculation gas into each intake branch path, the part being continued to opening planes of the intake branch paths.
