Abstract

A hinge structure (1) for an engine hood of a vehicle includes a hinge upper and a hinge lower (4). The hinge upper includes a stopper (2c) configured to restrict a full open position of the engine hood. The hinge lower includes a first vertical wall (6) spaced apart from a rotation trajectory of the stopper in a vehicle width direction, the rotation trajectory being drawn by the stopper when the hinge upper is rotated, a second vertical wall (6) continued from the first vertical wall via a bent portion and positioned at a position interfering with the rotation trajectory of the stopper, the second vertical wall having a pivot axis for the hinge upper and an opening (4a) at least reaching the bent portion and the second vertical wall, and the rotation trajectory of the stopper engages with an inner edge of the opening formed in the second vertical wall.
