Abstract
A method for treating methane fermentation effluent is provided with a dewatering process 20 for dewatering methane fermentation effluent that contains alkali metals and alkaline earth metals and separating a dewatered separated liquid, and a biological treatment process 30 for biologically treating the dewatered separated liquid with activated sludge. In the biologically treating process 30, a nitrification process for nitrifying a liquid in a nitrification tank 32, and a membrane separation process for separating liquid in a membrane separation tank 33 and discharging the membrane permeated liquid as treated water are performed sequentially. Liquid in the membrane separation tank 33 is sent to the nitrification tank 32. (Figure 1)
