Abstract

The present invention provides a control system for portioning food materials, comprising a conveyor belt mechanism (100) having a conveyor belt (102) and a plurality of rollers (102), a cutter (200) positioned beside the conveyor belt (102), a weighing mechanism (300) positioned beneath the cutter (200), and an electronic controller (400) for controlling movements of the other parts. The elongated food material is fed onto the conveyor belt (102), the weighing mechanism (300) receives and weighs the food material from the conveyor belt (102) and transmits such weight information to the controller (400), wherein the controller (400) reduces the speed of the conveyor belt mechanism (100) and activates the cutter (200) to portion the food material when the weight of the food material reaches a set target weight, and increases the speed of the conveyor belt mechanism (100) after the food material is portioned.
