Abstract

A passive chilled panel (10) for installation in a ceiling of a room to function as an air conditioning system, the passive chilled panel (10) comprising: a thermally conductive perforated panel (20) having a sawtooth wave cross-sectional profile; and a thermally conductive pipe (40) in contact with the perforated panel (20) to circulate chilled fluid from a fluid source and remove heat from the perforated panel (20); wherein the perforated panel (20) acts as a heat transfer medium between air in the room and the chilled fluid in the thermally conductive pipe (40).
