Abstract

A boiler system (100) includes: a furnace (3) which heats a heat transfer medium (W) by combustion of fuel; a heat exchanger (22) which is buried in the heat transfer medium (W) heated in the furnace (3), and through which a fluid that performs heat exchange with the heat transfer medium (W) flows; and a removal part (24) which removes the heat transfer medium (W) from the periphery of the heat exchanger (22) by controlling the removal part (24) at least at the time of an emergency stop in which a flow of the fluid in the heat exchanger (22) decreases or stops. (Fig. 3)
