Abstract

A vehicle rear structure (A) includes a substantial L-shaped reinforcing member (4) including an erected attachment portion (40) attached to a lower back (7) and a front-rear direction extending portion (41) laid on and joined to a rear side member (3) with a rear floor portion (2) interposed between the front-rear direction extending portion (41) and the rear side member (3), the rear side member (3) is divided into a first area (S1) in which the front-rear direction extending portion (41) is laid and joined, a second area (S2) adjacent to the vehicle front side of the first area (S1) and a third area (S3) adjacent to the vehicle front side of the second area (S2), and each of the first and third areas (S1, S3) is an area having a strength that is higher than a strength of the second area (S2), and a front end (P) of the first area (S1) is located on the vehicle front side relative to the auxiliary (1).
