Abstract
A power unit for a saddled vehicle includes a crankcase (38), a rotor (72), and an ACG cover (55). The crankcase (38) rotatably supports a crankshaft (61). The rotor (72) is provided on the crankshaft (61) on an outside of the crankcase (38) so as to rotate on a rotation axis (Rx) of the crankshaft (61). The ACG cover (55) is joined to the crankcase (38) and forms a housing space of the rotor (72) to enclose the rotor (72) around the rotation axis (Rx). The ACG cover (55) has an interior member (55a) and an exterior member (55b). The interior member (55a) encloses the rotor (72) around the rotation axis (Rx). The exterior member (55b) is joined to the interior member (55a) so as to axially cover the interior member (55a) on an outside of the rotor (72). This structure provides a power unit for a saddled vehicle, in which a rotation body cover appropriately protects a rotation body that is provided to a crankshaft on an outside of a crankcase.
