Abstract

Provided is an indirect spot welding method in which a pressure is applied to an overlapping portion (P) of a first metal plate (1) and a third metal plate (3) by a welding electrode (10), while an earth electrode (20) is brought into contact with a portion different from the overlapping portion (P), and a current is applied between the electrodes. This method includes, at an initial stage of welding, a step of applying a current between the electrodes while applying hardly any pressure to the overlapping portion (P) by the welding electrode (10).
