Abstract

Provided is a method for producing an oil or fat composition in which taste or the like is raised with a good balance. A butter product is prepared by heating a water-containing mixture containing butter and dairy product until a water content becomes less than 1 mass%, and an oil or fat composition is produced by mixing the butter product with edible oil or fat. It is preferable that 0.5 part by mass to 99 parts by mass of the butter is contained with respect to 1 part by mass of the dairy product, as the water-containing mixture. In addition, it is preferable that the water content of the water-containing mixture is 12 mass% to 75 mass%.
