A devulcanisation agent, and a process for recycling rubber, the devulcanisation agent including one or more devulcanisation reactants and at least one devulcanisation activator wherein the devulcanisation reactants include one or more phenylenediamine derivatives. dihydroquinoline derivatives, and/or quinone diimine derivatives.
