Abstract

A vehicle headlamp (1) includes a first semiconductor light emitting element (L1) which is configured to emit light as a high beam, a second semiconductor light emitting element (L2a, L2b) which is configured to emit light as a low beam, a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) thermistor (R6) which is disposed in a path of a current to be applied to at least one of the first semiconductor light emitting element (L1) and the second semiconductor light emitting element (L2a, L2b), a switching circuit (SC) which includes one or more semiconductor switches and is configured to switch between lighting and non-lighting of the first semiconductor light emitting element (L1). At least one of the one or more semiconductor switches and the PTC thermistorr (R6) are mounted on a same substrate (50). (FIG. 1)
