Abstract

The present invention provides a liquid filtration apparatus, comprising a filter housing (110), at least one fluid inlet (111) and at least one fluid outlet (112) configured on at least one side of the filter housing (110), at least one backwash inlet (113) configured on the side of the filter housing (110), at least one backwash outlet (114) configured at bottom of the filter housing (110), at least one valve configured at the fluid inlet (111) and the backwash inlet (113) for controlling liquid entry into, and configured at the fluid outlet (112) and the backwash outlet (114) for controlling liquid exit out of the liquid filtration apparatus, at least one wedge wire filter screen (118) configured within the filter housing (110), characterised in that the wedge wire filter screen (118) comprising a plurality of triangular bars for accumulating sludge.
