Abstract
The application relates to a system and process for separating two types of condensates (with high or low oil content) in the palm oil industry during autoclave evacuation, installing a bypass to the pipe used for the evacuation of condensates, which has a valve that opens during the sterilization cycle where the pressure is constant and the oil contents in the condensates are higher. Subsequently, the condensates are taken to an expansion chamber or cyclone to depressurize them and eliminate the water vapor in the condensate mixture. Finally, through the upper outlet of the expansion chamber or cyclone steam is sent to the steam discharge chimney used by the autoclaves or it is discharged directly into the atmosphere, and through the lower outlet of the expansion chamber or cyclone, the oil-rich condensates are transported to a buffer tank to later be pumped to the vibrating screen (which receives the red oil press liquor to be treated in the clarification process), or it can be sent to the sludge removal machine, according to the dispositions of each plant.
