Abstract

The invention relates to a plant for producing cement clinker for the further production of white cement, comprising a rotary tube furnace (15) for sintering lime-containing and silicate-containing raw meal (35) and possibly further oxides to give cement clinker (45), wherein a burner lance (25) for generating the required sintering temperature in the rotary tube furnace (15) is present at the rotary tube furnace head (40) of the rotary tube furnace (15), and wherein the burner lance (25) reaches into the rotary tube furnace (15), and at least one line (110) for guiding cooling water (110) into the rotary tube furnace (15) in order to quench the sintered cement clinker (45) in the rotary tube furnace (15). According to the invention, provision is made for the burner lance (25) to comprise the at least one line (110) for the guidance of cooling water, wherein the line (110) for the guidance of cooling water opens in the region between the burner outlet and the end of the rotary tube furnace head (40) and sprays cooling water onto the sintered cement clinker (45). As a result of the integration of the burner lance with the cooling water line, the burner lance is cooled at the same time, and the reductive conditions in the rotary tube furnace during quenching can be more easily controlled.
