Abstract

A water purifier having a deionization filter (110), according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a deionization filter (110) for performing a deionization operation for removing ionic substances contained in incoming water by applied power; a power supply unit (120) for selectively applying a deionization voltage or a regeneration voltage to the deionization filter (110); a first flow path (L1) connected to a water inlet end of the deionization filter (110); a second flow path (L2) and a third flow path (L3) respectively branched from the first flow path (L1); a fourth flow path (L4) connected to a water outlet end of the deionization filter (110); first to fourth valves (V1- V4) provided on the first to fourth flow paths (L1-L4), respectively, for controlling the flow of water passing through the respective flow paths; and a control unit (140) for controlling the power supply unit (120) to apply the deionization voltage to the deionization filter (110) when the deionization operation is performed and for controlling the opening and closing of the first to fourth valves (V1-V4) to change a direction in which water flows through the deionization filter (110), wherein the second flow path (L2) may have one end branched at a front end of the first valve (V1) and the other end connected to the fourth flow path (L4) at a front end of the fourth valve (v4), and the third flow path (L3) may have one end branched at a rear end of the first valve (V1) and the other end connected to the fourth flow path (L4) at a rear end of the fourth valve (V4).
