Abstract

The present invention relates to a window or door unit. According to an aspect of the present invention, the window or door unit is configured to support a sash (14, 15) by a frame body (12) in a slidable manner. A middle face piece (31) of a bottom frame (12b) has an opening 34 through which an outdoor side and an indoor side of the middle face piece (31) are communicated with each other, the opening (34) being provided in a portion of the middle face piece (31) in a longitudinal direction of the middle face piece (31) and being open to an upper end surface (31a) of the middle face piece (31). The bottom frame (12b) is attached with an attachment member (35) including a rail part (35a) along which the sash (14) travels, and a middle extension piece (35b) that extends over the opening (34) and is arranged along the upper end surface (31a) of the middle face piece (31)to rise on the upper end surface (31a) of the middle face piece (31), and the middle extension piece (35b) serves as a contact surface with which an airtight member (55) mounted on the sash (14) contacts.
