Abstract

The present invention relates to an immobilizer (100) and a system (200) therefor. The immobilizer (100) comprising: a plurality of members (110) spaced apart from each other and for independently wrapping a portion of each side of a pelvic region of a wearer to facilitate immobilization of the pelvic region; a plurality of fasteners (10) connected to each of the immobilizing members (110); and a plurality of straps (120) adjustable in length, each of the straps (120) for mating with one of the fasteners (10) connected to one of the immobilizing members (110) and each of the straps (120) for passing under the wearer's lumbar lordosis and across the wearer's lower back when the wearer is lying supine in order to mate with another one of the fasteners (10) connected to another one of the immobilizing members (110).
