Abstract
The present invention relates to a growth apparatus conversion assembly (100) and method for retrofitting and converting a Czochralski growth apparatus, particularly a batch Czochralski growth apparatus into a continuous Czochralski growth apparatus. In particular, an isolation valve (148) is disposed between an upper hopper (120) and a lower hopper (130) in order to maintain conditions in the lower hopper (130) while the upper hopper (120) is being refilled.
