Abstract

The present invention discloses an assembly and a method for providing a painting of an artwork using laser. The assembly comprises a laser source (100), a focal lens (200), a visual art processing unit (300), a laser control unit (400) and a laser head (500). The laser source (100) emits a continuous wave laser beam onto a workpiece (101) having a plurality of colored polymer-based compositions (102) layered thereon at a predefined energy-absorbing surface roughness. The continuous wave laser beam, at a predetermined heat flux and a predetermined number of laser beam passes, mixes and displaces the plurality of colored polymer- based compositions (102), respectively, by way of melting and vaporizing a portion of the plurality of colored polymer-based compositions (102) selectively pointed to by a beam spot of the continuous wave laser beam so as to form a graphical pattern, a colored effect or combination thereof associated with the artwork on the said workpiece (101).
